LISTEN TO THE SILENCE: Women Trapped in the Opioid Epidemic, Part 1

LISTEN TO THE SILENCE: Women Trapped in the Opioid Epidemic, Part 1 is the first in a series of of two programs that explore the stories of courageous women, regardless of their racial, cultural or financial backgrounds, battling opioid use disorder (OUD). Through an intimate retelling of their personal journeys, the film exposes deep seated inequities within the American healthcare system. Abandoned by media, rehabilitation facilities, medical research, legislation, and us, they traversed their stigmatized lives, often uninformed and without support. Addiction is a women’s issue. This film aims to inspire people – and key decision makers – to treat it as such.
